World Stage

One of the biggest concerts ever held in Malaysia, and I was there. Yes, it's the concert where everyone is Facebooking and Tweeting about all over the virtual world.

MTV World Stage

Sadly, I didn't bring a camera as I thought it would've been confiscated at the gate. You know how strict they are about their copyright issues. But no matter, it was definitely a day to look forward to. So, please bear with just my words (might steal some pics off Facebook)

Registration line was hell long, so we decided to crash Trisha's friend's line, which was right next to the entrance. Props to whoever you are! Entered the MoshPit quite soon. Found it so funny that the RedZone was already so packed and the MoshPit was still empty. Then began the 2 hour long wait. Plus the rain which turned everyone into a garbage bag wearing frenzy. The rain passed, but the wait continued. Till finally the MTV VJ's came out and started giving out freebies.

Skipping all of that, Estranged finally came on. The bassist sported a Japanese look, complete with white face powder. He looked badass. Cue the frenzy of moshing Malays. Soon, Estranged finish their 4 song setlist, and next was BoysLikeGirls. They got the biggest reaction and applause (and screams) from all the hormonal teenage girls in the crowd. They played Lovedrunk, Thunder, Hero/Heroine and The Great Escape. Halfway through their performace, the bassist jumped down to embrace the crowd, and as expected a girl jumped over the barricade and tried to grab him, till security swarmed her. Martin Johnson climbed up the scaffolding to entertain the crowd even more. Kudos to him!

I left the MoshPit due to dehydration and was in dire need of water. Raygun was next but for some shitty reason the security wouldnt let us back in by the time they started playing their setlist. So, Hannah and I had to move to the Red Zone. But Raygun weren't that interesting. Moving on!

Pixie Lott was up next, and we were back in the Mosh Pit. Full as hell (full of illegal RedZone mofo's) She sang Mama Do, Boys and Girls and..others. Didn't really catch it as I was watching how fake her band was. The drummer wasn't in time with the song, and he stopped playing a full second after the backing track cut. Makes me wonder whether the guitarist and the keyboardist were really part of the act.

Finally, Hoobastank took the stage, and with them, came the best sing along song of the night. The Reason. It was so epic. Everyone was belting out the familiar words and waving their hands along to the rhythm. They even played their cover of Ghostbusters. Which was even more epic.

All American Rejects, which was undoubtedly the best performers of the night, came on. They sang a total of 7 songs, which was the most of the night. They blasted out Swing Swing, I Wanna, Dirty Little Secret, Gives You Hell and others. Tyson Ritter in my opinion, is one helluva performer. Even though he might've looked like he was high on drugs, it obviously worked. Climbed up the scaffolding, armed with 2 mics, he really knew how to turn the crowd on.

After everything was over, people started to leave. Kasabian was next but some people weren't bothered. I stayed for half of their gig, but had to leave too.

One unforgettable experience.

Cars, cars, and the eventual Singapore

A very, very fulfilling and satisfying trip to Singapore (it always is). Not only did I get kickarse down speeds from my cousins wifi, my little fantasy world got it's much needed satisfaction. Sorry people, I'm a petrolhead/autophile. I just love them cars.

Day 1.

Blue Audi R8 (Vantage and F430 in the back)

That mean 414hp 4.2 litre V8

Not photographed were 2 Ferrari 599 Gtb's, a Rolls Royce Phantom and a Merc SL55 AMG.

Day 2

Just before leaving for KL, the Lamborghini Club of Singapore decided to pop by the Hilton Hotel. Perfect timing!

Notice the "Please do not touch" sticker by the window

Scissor doors!

4 in a row. That is literally nirvana.

Screw Malaysia, I'm moving to Singapore.

Chpang

Alright, first thing's first.

I'm off to Singapore for the weekend, so no Breakers or SeeYau's gathering after that.

Bummer eh? Moving on!

Whats been happening around college? Inter cohort games, Games Carnival and of course BBQ Night. Inter Cohort games was fun, at one point Alpha was actually leading. We were all so shocked and absolutely loving it. Basically we had one team for football and basketball, and some of us were only good (when I mean good, I mean decent) at one of the sports. But eventually we lost out to Arts. Kudos to them!

MCKL Games Carnival was pretty awesome, even if WMS did take the football title again. It was the day that my underestimation of how hard it is to play Scrabble was justified. I was pawned. Badly. Not as bad as how Vikram pwns others but, just the right level of pwn. But Becca The Partner went ahead and got first runner up! Who knew she had it in her!

OH SHIT TOP GEAR'S SEASON JUST ENDED.

..Another 6 months till they air again. =(

Speaking about TopGear, who knew so many of our friends are petrol heads. Brought a TopGear mag to college and everyone started adoring it. Mostly cause the main article was about the 4 best supercars in the world. Actually, they missed out the Zonda. But still.

Petrolheads and foos kakis. The best company you could ask for.

BBQ night was quite the happening, as everyone did follow the theme, even if all of them going like "HELL NO HELL NO" Some didn't put that much effort in, but the ones that did stole the show. Our performance of Seize The Day and 21 Guns didn't win us 600 moolah, but it was good to jam again after many months of not performing in front of a crowd. Alpha Crew should've won imo, because of their absolutely sick skills, mostly thanks to the relatively unknown Yeong Han, who's a burgeoning bboy, and who Alvin Sim is (I think) absolutely in LOVE WITH. Jkjkjkjkjk Alvin. =)

Not the best picture of em all

Im not here.

Oh wait, there I am.

My favourite twins in the world (YingYang twins aside)

Right, now for some sex. Yes I meant SEX. Like every other male human out there, I like SEX. Lots of it. Porn's obviously the way to go to see pornstars show off their true talent. I was into porn before this. Magazines, the internet, everything! But after a while, no new material or pornstars were to be seen. The production offices just kept making the same shit. Quality shit, but still same shit. The producers boasted how big their pornstar's assets are, and how fast they reach their orgasmic state. It was good. But I needed something fresh, something new. Finally, from the heart of Italy, the biggest name in the business revealed their newest pornstar. Right from the heart of Maranello (Got you there didn't I?)

That's absolute sex.

FOOSBALL

Yeah, it's the new thing. Now instead of going to Times Square for food, we go to MidValley during the weekdays, and hit Breakers during the weekends.

It's an addiction I tell you.

So, time I updated this blog yeah? It's been urmm, more than 3 weeks since I've updated it. Mainly cause I'm just too lazy to type out word for word what my days are like on end. I mean, it's basically waking up, going to college, going back home.

..Gah this is a sucky blog update. Let me look for some pictures!

..Nothing relevant found. Can my life really be this boring?

Okay, so let me just list out the significant things I've been up to lately.

1. Foos
2. Kavi's Birthday
3. Foos
4. Foos
5. Grace's Birthday
6. Not regretting missing Man Utd vs Malaysia XI
7. Fooooos.
8. Losing to Vikram in Scrabble.

Oh damn. I need to go for a concert.

MTV World Stage anyone?

Crepe's Crew!

Tuesday was the last day of our holiday, and what's a better way to celebrate it with some footie and some quality time with your friends.

First off, at 9am (Yes that early), a few of us headed of to Bangsar for a nice refreshing game of futsal. I drove the Subaru and parked it next to the court, and Saveen kept insisting he gets a free lunch cause he hit it with the ball. Screw you Saveen. Lol.

It was a great game of futssal, as it always is.

So, what's after that? I mean, I can't just have a nice game of footie and just..head off home like that. That's just not right. And Bec had the same idea, so we both came up with a brilliant plan.

A movie.

I unintentionally woke Evon up because we needed some company. Didn't mean to, Von. I swear. :) But we didn't want to line up with tons of people who are going to watch Transformers 2 for the 2nd time, so we decided that Bec's pad at DPC is the perfect place.

Evon came over soon, and the 3 of us headed over to Waterfront to have some lunch, and then to MeiLi's to check out her place. She has 5 times more tv's than I do. I only have 1.

Bummer right?

Back at Becca's, we decided to watch Obsessed.

OMG

The term "sexy secretary" is now redefined. The movie was freaky on all levels, as in how much of a sick bitch Ali Larter's character is. The 3 of us kept gasping and going WTF WTF almost every 5 minutes. If I ever get a secretary, it'll probably be someone gay. I'm pretty sure the future missus would agree too.Movie ended with a classic cat fight. I want my future missus to fight like that. Kick the ass out of some bitch and end up killing her FATALITY STYLE

Right. Onto our baking adventure. Seeing as we still had time to kill, we decided to open up a dessert cookbook and see what 3 useless wannabe cooks could come up with. In the end we chose crepes, cause it looked simple enough. The girls made the batter while I went to get some ice cream for the dessert.

Soon after an hour, we finally managed to make around 8 crepes. Yes I know we took an hour, which is why we'll fail in the F&B industry. But if I might say so myself, they were mighty tasty. Guess we didn't screw up that bad.

What a good way to end the holidays.

I swear it looked better.

8th June

Wonder why I didn't mention this in my last post?

..Cause she's that special :)

Yes this is long overdue, but I've finally found some time to sit down and blog about Hannah's awesome birthday party. And I'm glad I was there for it.

I woke up to a beautiful June morning, washed up and headed out to Pavilion and KLCC to help Hannah out with getting a few last minute things for the party. There was a lot of running around, till the point where my heartbeat undoubtedly rocketed off the scales. If you felt it, you would've thought I was going to collapse or something. And also, the ticketing office at TGV. It took them 10 minutes for them to issue me 6 tickets for a movie that day. Wonder why? Here's a step by step run through of the idiot(s) behind the counter.

1. Typed in the wrong reservation code THRICE.
2. Forgot about me giving him my student card for cheaper prices.
3. REPEATS STEPS 1 and 2
4. Presses print, but no tickets come out
5. Disappears behind the counter to check the machine.
6. Stares at it blindly for 10 seconds.
7. Slowly dials for his superior.
8. Superior does steps 5 and 6 continously.
9. Superior runs from one end of the room to use a phone.

Indian lady comes and scolds Idiot Trainee

10. Runs to the other end of the room to get another superior.
11. Superior 2 checks machine.
12. Superior 2 fixes machine, Idiot Trainee gets back in his seat
13. Asks for reservation code again.

Indian lady comes and scolds Idiot Trainee again

14. Prints tickets, no word of apology.
15. I swear under my breath at him, and snicker to see the next person in line starts scolding him as well.

There. Those idiot cocks.

But nevertheless, the day didn't turn out like that. Proceeded to drop things off at the hotel and then waited for SuYen to arrive. And so the three of us went off to KLCC. While the girls went off for a movie, I went ahead to get my presents ready for Hannah, and soon around 5, I went back to KLCC for a few last minute things as usual.

Finally, at around 7.45, all the girls decked out in their LBD's surfaced from the hotel, and only one stood out from all of them. The lady in the red dress. My lady in her red dress.

The next destination was Hard Rock Cafe, where we ordered a mountain of food. Ah joy. Food.

Over the night we had a few shots and eventually the cake came, where Hannah had to stand up on the chair and blow out the candles. Cheeky waiter. This is what he said as well.

"Give the waiter a kiss lah"

"Cannot lah boyfriend is here"

"Okay nevermind. See me in a few years"

..Bastard. Not a chance.

Eventually we had to go as we weren't "old" enough to witness the live band play. When asked why, they just kept ..quiet. But nevermind, we'd be having our own party. So we moved back to the hotel, where the girls put on some music, changed into more comfortable clothes and just reveled in the night. I just sat around, eventually played some poker.

Left the hotel at around 2am to leave the girls to their midnight gossip session.

Happy 17th, babe :)
